This wetlands parcel, one of several in this region, is located in the southern tip of town in the Morgan Point area. As with all such wetlands, their importance is to serve as transition zones where the flow of water, the cycling of nutrients, and the energy of the sun meet to produce a unique ecosystem characterized by hydrology, soils and vegetation, which makes these areas very important features of a watershed.
